Paying a premium for no GPS iPhone

This is just weird. Egypt strictly regulates the use of GPS devices, so no mobile phones with GPS are allowed. Now Apple is going to selling iPhones with GPS disabled, and even stranger it’s about triple the cost. Why bother?
