UNCTAD on African Aid

Africa’s aid needs to double, be multilaterally distributed and be depoliticised and more regular. They’ve also criticised the IMF and World Bank efforts to distribute aid. No surprise that if aid “was distributed in line with a nation’s needs, not competing donor interests” things might be a bit better.

  • Worse thing from Thiessen seems to be if you don't agree with him that means your siding with the enemy.
  • Plus Thiessen says advocating for the release of detainees who aren't being charged is a "radical/extremist view".
  • Thiessen says if you use your pro bono time to defend accused people you support their views. This can't be serious.
